About The Association

The Marylebone Association

‘Making Marylebone a better place to live and work’

The Marylebone Association was formed in 1981 with the aim of improving the amenities in Marylebone for the benefit of everyone who lives and works in the area. The Association is run on behalf of its members by an executive committee made up of members elected at the Association’s annual general meeting. Subcommittees are appointed by the executive committee to work on specific activities.

As an amenities society, we are a non-political, non-profit and voluntary organisation recognised by a number of statutory authorities, including West Westminster City Council, the Metropolitan Police and Transport for London. We are regularly consulted by relevant bodies on matters related to planning, licensing, transport and the environment in the area.

Our Aims

  • To alert relevant authorities to problems associated with traffic, noise levels, building hazards, and environmental pollution
  • To promote independent businesses that provide quality products and services to the community in Marylebone.
  • To bring people together through social and cultural events.
  • To promote high standards of architecture preserving our classical buildings while encouraging exciting new developments that will enrich the quality and variety of buildings in Marylebone.

The Association engages various activities to support our aims, further information by going to the relevant link on the left hand side of this page.
