The Portman Estate have instigated together with Westminster City Council and ourselves a Neater Streets Policy.
Like the Association they share the view that where possible unnecessary street clutter should be removed and generally street furniture in the form of lighting, signage etc should where possible be minimised and harmonised.
With a view to achieving that the Portman have produced the attached annotated plan and schedule.
On the plan you will see that there are various numbers relating to items which have been identified as requiring work. Some of those have already been attended to and others remain to be done.
Inevitably there will be more items which have not been picked up or have the appearance since the preparation of this document which ought properly to be included.
It would be very useful if you could check in any of the areas near to you to see whether the items have been addresses and/or whether there are further items which need to be looked into and let us know

The Portman, Westminster and ourselves recently walked the area of the plan to review items and to review progress. It is our intention to do so on a regular basis in order to keep appropriate pressure on Westminster to ensure that the objective is achieved. The next meeting is due to take place early in May and any input prior to that date will be included in the review.
