Discover the story of the world's greatest city at the Museum's new £20 million "Galleries of Modern London". Three years in the making, the five new galleries tell the tale of London and its people from 1666 (the Great Fire) to the present day, transporting you through the capital's tumultuous history, rich with drama, triumph and near disaster. Highlights include a re-creation of the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, a Selfridge's lift from the 1920s and a display of fashion through the ages. Our one hour guided tour will point out and discuss the highlights, followed by as much time as you like to explore at leisure.
