Wetherby Preparatory School started in 2004 in Notting Hill with twenty four pupils but, only six years later, we are one hundred and thirty six strong and have moved to larger premises in Bryanston Square. All visitors to the school, be they prospective parents or Heads and Registrars from other schools, are hugely impressed by the building. The architecture is magnificent, with many original features restored, and a great deal of care and attention given over to enabling our school to fit the building, rather than the other way around.
It is a pleasure to be in Marylebone and apparent that, even though we are only five minutes from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street, the area has a distinct, almost village-like character. The anonymity often associated with many parts of London is not in evidence here and my colleagues and I exchange greetings regularly with the same, local people during morning and afternoon supervisory duties.

We have been made to feel very welcome by many in the community and enjoyed a delightful Carol Service at the Church of the Annunciation before Christmas. Our Choir was also very excited to take part in the Christmas Lights festivities in Marylebone High Street at the end of November.
As Headmaster of Wetherby Preparatory School, I take our responsibilities towards our community very seriously in terms of charitable work, sharing our facilities and minimising any traffic related issues. My team has worked hard to make sure that our transition to Bryanston Square is a smooth and beneficial one to all of our neighbours. It is my intention to make this the flagship preparatory school in the London area and I hope that the Marylebone community will feel as proud of their local school as I do.
I am particularly keen to make the school's hall and other facilities available to the local community and would also like to use as many local services as possible. If you feel that you would like to get involved, or build a relationship with the school in any way, please pop in at any time or make an appointment to see me and allow me to show you around the building. You would be most welcome.
