The trend in Total Notifiable Offences for the period April to June for the Marylebone High Street Police Area shows a continuing increase. This has to be of concern to us all and probably reflects increased tourism through the warm months of May and June and the possibilities this offers for 'opportunistic crime' at the local cafes, bars, shops and restaurants, when we are not always aware of what others are doing around us. The figures for Bryanston and Dorset Square Police Area in April and May 2010 were also higher than in 2009, but then showed a marked decline in June.
The solution? All of us should be more protective of our possessions at all times.
