Safer Neighbourhoods
The Safer Neighbourhoods initiative was introduced in 2006 with the Metropolitan Police and their partners working with residents to identify and tackle issues of concern in the area. Marylebone is split into three areas, each having a team made up of six police and Police Community Support Officers. The aim of each team is to listen and talk to residents to understand the issues that affects the community’s daily life and their feelings on security. Issues include antisocial behaviour, graffiti, noisy neighbourhoods, yobs or vandalism. The teams work in partnership with the local community and other agencies to find a lasting solutions. Safer Neighbourhoods teams are dedicated to the community and are additional to the regular police teams in London. If you have concerns about day-to-day crime and disorder issues, or if you would like to get involved, please contact one of your local team teams below.
